Red Carpet Motel

It’s cheap, dirty, and there are roaches in the rooms, along with the smell of marijuana throughout. Local police show up now and then, so there’s never a dull moment. The manager/owner was okay. This place served its purpose, which is the only reason I’m giving it two stars. If you’re desperate for somewhere to stay, the county jail has better rooms.

I’m 60 and spent the first 30 years of my life traveling as a military dependent, so I’ve stayed in plenty of places. This is the nastiest motel I’ve ever had to stay in. There were so many roaches, generations of them, and they seemed older than God. The owners were rude and couldn’t speak good English. Women like me can be assaulted in the parking lot and they let it happen. They don’t care about your health or safety. If you want a refund, dream on.

The housekeeper keeps our room clean and the bathroom and living area stocked, and she goes beyond what she has to do. She’s always smiling and helpful. Red carpet has become a family-friendly place, and she’s trustworthy too. We left money behind and it was still there. Great service and clean rooms!

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were nice. If I remember right, it cost around $55-$60 a night. There was one issue, but I brought it up with them and it should be fine now. The room had lots of space and a full kitchen, so it seemed suited to an extended stay. I absolutely loved the tile on the bathtub walls.
