The bed was a comfortable queen, and the room had a recliner, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a decent-sized flat-screen TV. I was especially glad there was a bathtub, since plenty of places only have showers. The room and roomy bathroom were both very clean, and the owners were helpful. I ended up at Black Bear Motel after my vehicle broke down, and it turned out to be a nice place to stay. I hadn’t heard of it before, but I’m glad it was there when I needed it. I may not pass through again, but I wanted people to know it’s clean and nicer than some of the low ratings suggest. I’d recommend Black Bear to anyone needing lodging nearby.

We ate well at the restaurant and bar across the street, and the motel rate was great. The people were friendly, and you can tell the owner takes real pride in the place. It’s the nicest older motel I’ve stayed at. I’d happily recommend staying here. You won’t be sorry.

The hotel was clean, but those beds were VERY uncomfortable. My husband can sleep almost anywhere, and neither of us slept well. It’s been 12 hours and my back is still sore.

For $58 a night, it’s a good place to stay, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Just a heads-up, the pop in the vending machine had expired last November. Even so, I had a great stay overall.

Cameron is a lovely area, and the town is quiet and small. The motel has a rustic, relaxing feel, and Mario will look after whatever you need.
