Budget Host Inn & Suites

Breakfast was awful, and I’m not sure the coffee had been cleaned or changed in a week. The woman at check-in was rude and didn’t make us feel welcome. The tub stopper was broken, so we couldn’t take a bath, and the towels were ragged. I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be back.

We were escaping Hurricane Beryl and had a great stay. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, and the place was very clean. It’s a good choice if you have a dog, with nice areas for walks. Breakfast was included, which was a lovely extra. I’d definitely come back.

We were worn out from Houston traffic and left our hotel in Manvel around 2 in the afternoon, hoping to stop for the night in Cameron. We first went to Quality Inn because we’d missed the Budget turnoff. Since Quality had no downstairs room, and my husband and I are senior citizens, another flight of stairs with our bags was more than I wanted after the elevator had been broken at the previous hotel, where we’d been on the third floor. The woman at Quality sent us to Budget, and we were so glad she did. There was a working elevator and luggage carts, plus an on-site manager who was cheerful, engaging, and a pleasure to deal with. It had everything the other hotels didn’t. To me, it felt like a God thing. And no trash trucks came by at 3 or 4 in the morning! We’ll remember this hotel and book again without hesitation. Keep up the good work!

I asked to switch rooms and was told to get a refund and go home. I’m still waiting for that refund. I’ll add after photos, but that outlet was not changed. It might have been changed by the time code enforcement got there, but it hadn’t been changed the next morning. I have proof, so please don’t try to play games. You gave us another room because you knew I’d be back with worse consequences if you’d stuck with what you first said about getting a refund and leaving. I had six guests come in and change for a wedding l. No fire code violation there. That was when I got the room and noticed the A/C wasn’t working. Lie again.
