We went on a weekday in February and found some people around, but it wasn’t crowded or too hot. The tiger splash show was fun to watch, and seeing the animals on the tour was much better than wandering around first and spotting only a few. The Expedition Passport upgrade includes general admission, a chance to feed a tiger, and a one-hour tour on a covered truck. When the truck comes, the animals know treats are coming and gather around. You also get to feed the giraffes and see them up close. You really should get the upgrades. Such a must!

The shuttle made getting around easier, and the drivers were very nice, especially the older gentleman. We had a very good time on the safari and loved the feeding time. The wolves and some leopards were almost impossible to spot in the thick brush, but feeding brought them all out. Extra experiences can add up quickly if you sign up for them. The “feed a tiger for 5 dollar” option was another downside, since it wasn’t a very exciting experience.
It felt like a real safari, not a zoo. We got to feed an elephant from the bus, and the animals seemed so happy. The staff were friendly, knew a lot, and clearly take incredible care of the animals. We’ll definitely come back. If you visit on your birthday, general admission is only about 13.00.
The predator feeding was fascinating to watch. We were there on a day they fed them, and could actually hear the animals crunching bones. The place also has experiences you don’t get at a traditional zoo. We loved having a giraffe come inside the tram so we could feed it the food it eats in its regular environment, rather than some kind of pellet. If you’re in the area, you have to stop by!
We got there at opening and stayed until about 4 PM, but the time flew. Almost every animal was either walking around or resting really close by, which made the visit feel special. I can’t wait to go back! 🐻✨ The staff clearly care about the animals. What stood out during the tiger show was that if a tiger didn’t want to participate, nobody forced or punished it. The keepers simply moved on and kept everyone entertained. The whole place is well maintained, and the animals look healthy and happy. There are lots of activities too, most of them free.
