The room was pretty bare and there wasn’t a coffee pot or some of the usual motel things. At least it was quiet, and the bed was so comfortable that it made up for a lot.

After a long day driving, I slept well in the clean room. The staff were friendly and got me extra towels quickly when I asked. Breakfast could have been a little better, but I had a really good stay and would come back.

The bathrooms need a lot of updating, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. I had a very hard time communicating with the front desk, and they wouldn’t accept discounts such as AARP. The maid service staff were friendly and very helpful.

The woman who checked us in was young, pleasant, and helpful, and the area felt safe to us. The hotel itself needs major updates. For us, the main reason to stay here would be Harefest or another event at the fair grounds.

The location was great, but there was something under the wall mounted headboard that had clearly been left behind and not cleaned. I also found questionable stains, so I bought a blanket to sleep on. One pillow had a spot, and I couldn't tell whether it had been changed, so I didn't trust it. I didn't see signs of bed bugs. I didn't bother complaining since it's a motel 6 and you know what you're getting.
