Crown Inn

For my worst enemy, maybe. The stay came with a homeless smell and what felt like a whole assortment of pests: ticks, bed bugs, roaches. No mice showed up, unfortunately. I was afraid to shower in case I damaged the mold living there. Traffic and ambulances kept going all night, so sleeping felt like being out on the street.

I've stayed here before, but this visit was bad enough that I had to write about it. The room looked neglected, with holes in the wall that looked suspiciously like bullet holes. There were no washcloths, and the worn bedding looked like it hadn't been replaced since the 1970s. The refrigerator was dirty, a roach turned up, and the TV was useless because the WiFi didn't work. I had to use my own service to get online. The AC was right beside the bed, making it nearly impossible for the person sleeping there to rest comfortably, and the lamp was faulty enough to shock my travel companion. The price doesn't match this experience. The property has potential, but the lack of maintenance and care for guests' comfort is hard to miss. It's a shame to see it decline so sharply. I hope management fixes these issues before more loyal guests go elsewhere.

Such a cute little hotel. Our beds were comfortable, the room was really clean, and the staff were excellent and very helpful. We had a great stay.

Rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Great value, too. The location worked especially well for me since MPT is a five-minute walk away. I had a great stay and will be back in January before my cruise.
