Hampton Inn & Suites Youngstown-Canfield

The curtains wouldn't close all the way, so I used the sofa cushions to get some privacy. Aside from that, this place was great. The rooms and beds were clean and comfy, the showers were nice, and breakfast was good. There's a pool and a small gym, and it was very quiet.

For six weeks of work, this place felt like home away from home. The building, from the halls and lobby to my room, was immaculate, and my room and bed were comfortable. I'm picky about pillows and usually bring my own everywhere, but I took them back home so I wouldn't have to haul them back and forth because I didn't need them here! Breakfast had a good variety, and the food was good. I'm not usually a waffle person, but I had theirs several mornings and looked forward to them. Dan and the whole staff were top notch, friendly, and always went out of their way to make sure I was happy and taken care of. It's tucked away and quiet, but handy for restaurants, shopping, and the highway. I'm excited to go home, but it was a perfect stay. Thanks to everyone I got to talk to!

Getting here from I76 is a bit tricky, but this is going to be our new Hampton stop instead of the one we used before, which had been leaving some things to be desired. We'd never stayed at this Hampton before and I was a little apprehensive about trying a new hotel. It turned out to be a good one: clean and updated, with an excellent room and breakfast. The TV even had my name on it when we arrived, a first for me. We didn't interact much with the staff, but they were friendly. The whole hotel was clean and smelled nice, and it's in a nice area. I enjoyed my stay.

I'd give zero stars if that were an option. We'd booked a room for 5 people, but when we arrived it was set up for only four. Jacob at the front desk wasn't apologetic at all. That's a fire hazard. Tossing in a free coffee, or something like that, would have helped me feel like they wanted my business. I know the coffee is actually free.
