The short walk to the beach and the friendly guests were the best parts. Beyond that, I was extremely unhappy with the stay. There was dark hair on the shower walls when we arrived, barely enough towels for two, and mold on the bathroom walls from humidity, which felt like a health hazard. I should have checked, but there’s no air conditioning. The unit was hot and stuffy, and I had to take a cold shower to cool off. There was a tiny fan, but it didn’t help much. We left the windows open all night, though some wouldn’t open because their hinges were broken or missing. The walls were thin enough that we could hear dogs in other rooms, toilets flushing, and sinks running. I can’t believe I paid 412.00 for ONE night. Save your money. Even sleeping in my car would have been better, and that says a lot for me.

We had easy communication with the hosts, and the location made everything simple. Coffee shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and the beach is just across the street. There’s dedicated parking right at the property, too. The room felt bright, open, and clean.

Room 23 had a damp, moldy smell that we couldn’t get away from, so we kept the windows open almost the whole time. My wife said it reminded her of clothes left sitting in the washer too long, which was exactly it. If you’re sensitive to mold or odors, I’d avoid that room. If smells don’t bother you, it’s a cute and handy place to stay in Cannon Beach.

The hosts were so welcoming, and we had everything we needed. Our beds were comfortable, the place was really clean and nicely decorated, and the location worked perfectly for us. I’m not sure whether it has new owners or furniture since the reviews from a year ago, but we loved our stay and will be back.

The unit was simple, cozy, and clean, and management replied promptly and was friendly. Harrison Street is only two blocks from the beach and a great coffee shop, with the rest of Cannon Beach easy to reach on foot. For a beach town getaway, I’d recommend staying here.
