Oceanspray Inn

I didn’t feel safe after seeing the owner scream obscenities at his female neighbor, so I found another inn for the rest of my vacation. On my first night, I watched him spray paint lines on the ground outside her home while shouting at her. He seemed not to care that anyone was watching. It looked like a child’s tantrum, and I couldn’t believe a grown man was acting that way. I was visiting Cannon Beach and was very unhappy to have stayed here. The owner showed no regard for guests or others, and I strongly discourage anyone from staying.

I wasn’t a guest here, just a neighbor staying across the small street. Some tenants were loud all night for both nights we were there, and some of their kids threw rocks at cars parked across the street. I went over to speak with the owner. The place looked messy, with what seemed to be an old broken-down boat and trailer taking up most of the parking, leaving his guests to park in front of other people’s homes. Some people rely on those spaces as their only parking. Neighbors I spoke with said they were tired of the situation and thought the owner was creepy. After I waited 20 minutes for him, he said it wasn’t his problem and told me to leave his property right away.

My family really enjoyed the rooms and the sunset views. It’s right on the beach, and it worked out great for a family stay.

Fantastic place. If you get the chance, stop in. You won’t be disappointed.
