Stephanie Inn

We’ve stayed in many hotels, inns, guest houses, spas, bed and breakfasts, and cabins, both around the country and occasionally abroad. I don’t travel regularly for business or review hotels professionally, but as someone who wanders for pleasure and other needs, I’ve come up with a simple way to judge each place. The Stephanie Inn scored 5 out of 5 for transportation access, parking, check-in and check-out, atmosphere and facilities, service, and room comfort, cleanliness, value, and amenities. We’ve never given any hotel or inn a higher score. The best part may be the location, and I couldn’t find a real downside. For the price, you get more than you expect. It’s one of the most romantic getaways in Oregon. The ocean views, huge stretches of beach, dramatic landscape, and changing light from dawn to sunset feel almost like a movie. Our room was cozy and comfortable, with classic and modern touches, all the conveniences we wanted, a romantic fireplace, a spa-like bath, and a balcony just feet from the Pacific. There’s plenty to enjoy, from the beach to the balcony and fire pits, and the farm-to-table food is stylish and delicious. It was the quietest hotel we’ve experienced, apart from the waves and rain, which made the atmosphere even more special. Whether you’re there to relax, explore, or be romantic, Stephanie’s is a great fit. We can’t wait to come back again and again.

The room was roomy and packed with nice extras, even binoculars for looking out to sea. There were treats and drinks waiting, and the bedroom opened onto a patio. The hotel is peaceful, very clean, and beautifully designed, with the ocean close by. From the time I arrived until I left, the staff treated me like royalty. Everyone was polite and wonderful. I especially appreciated the daily gatherings, from the complimentary gourmet chef’s breakfast buffet to the NW Wine and Beer Gathering and the Goodnight Cap. They were all lovely experiences. This is one of the most luxurious hotels I’ve stayed in, and I’d rate it 10/10.

The included breakfast was top notch, and dinner was delicious and intimate. I only wish the dining room had a view of the water, but the food and service made up for it. The rooms are lovely, with fireplaces and patios. They leave snacks in your room, and there’s coffee and cookies available all day, plus a free happy hour each evening. The service was the best I’ve had anywhere. Wonderful stay.

My husband had a sudden low blood sugar episode while we were walking on the beach today. He has type 1 diabetes, and we hadn’t brought his usual supplies, so we weren’t prepared. I hurried inside, and the man at the front desk was very kind and got us the help we needed. I wish I’d gotten his name. I’ve never stayed at this inn, but I wanted to thank the front desk staff. To me, a hotel with kind, professional people like that must be a special place.
