We used Bryce Glamp and Camp as our base for three nights of hiking at Bryce and nearby. It’s a lovely, well-maintained property, and the domes make for a different kind of stay, close to nature without the usual inconveniences. Each one has its own outdoor seating, grill, and gas fireplace. Inside ours was spacious, with a small kitchenette, including a hot plate, toaster, and coffee maker, a full bathroom with good water pressure, a living area with TV, and AC and heat. We used both since the days got toasty and nights cold. I’d choose a dome with a King bed next time, as the double bed felt a bit too small. Wi-Fi was spotty, though we expected that. Bryce is about a 20-25 minute drive, and Tropic is 10 minutes away. The grocery store in Tropic has the basics, but it’s small, so I’d get groceries in a larger town about 50 minutes away. There’s also a handy little store by the domes, run by Jessie, who was super nice and helpful.

The hosts were so friendly and really made sure we were taken care of. This is a great base for Bryce Canyon, and the stargazing is on another level. Dome #1 has the best view on the property, so I’d recommend it. The other domes may be great too, but this one felt special. It’s private and secluded, with incredible views and especially lovely sunsets and sunrises. The domes are well done, with heat, AC, and very comfortable bedding. Our kids slept on the pullout couch without a single complaint. There’s what you need for an easy camping-style dinner, and we had a great time cooking steaks, burgers, and hot dogs. Restaurants can get backed up, especially during spring break, so grabbing food from a local market and making a night of it works well. The gas fire pit was a nice touch, with no hassle, and they provide cozy blankets for sitting outside.
Jesse was wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The domes face Bryce Canyon, and the whole stay was one of my best lodging experiences. We had our own patio, grill, fire pit, tables, and lounge chair, everything for a relaxed evening grilling as the sun went down and watching the night sky by the fire. Kodachrome state park is only about a 10-minute drive away, a definite hidden gem.
We only stayed one night and wished we’d booked longer. The dome was spacious, with a privacy wall between the bedroom and the rest of the space, and the outdoor area had its own private grill and fire pit. We saw stars as far as I could see, perfect for stargazing. The owner and his wife were super friendly. I’d highly recommend it.
The glass windows were my favorite part of the dome, it was so nice having that view from inside. The bed was super comfortable and I slept great. The domes are unique and have everything you need, and the small store and market had some really great things. I picked up a candle and jewelry. It’s also really close to the national park. Such an awesome place, I can’t speak highly enough about it!
