Super 8 Canonsburg/Pittsburgh Area

We arrived around 3:00 AM and the front desk woman still gave us a warm welcome. I’d accidentally used my Wyndham Rewards points to book the wrong room, but she upgraded me kindly and without hassle. She was polite, spoke clearly, and handled all my requests with a smile. Her positive attitude made the stay even better.

After traveling for about 13 hours, this was a very satisfying place to stay, and it was really clean. The front desk staff were helpful and very friendly, ready to help with anything we needed. Can’t wait to go back.

The room was clean but could use some updates. The staff were great and attentive to travelers’ needs.

The room was much better than the rest of the property, with a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Still, we paid $75, which was less than at better hotels but too much for what we got. The grounds looked neglected: bushes had overrun the gazebo, weeds were nearly two feet high by the parking lot and front entrance, bricks on a potentially cute walkway were uneven, the entrance was dirty, and the newspaper box was shabby. The lobby was better, but the juice dispenser had an Out of Order sign, so we figured the included breakfast wouldn’t amount to much. We were right, it was a packaged sticky bun and a yogurt. The gentleman at the desk saw us take the luggage rack out to the car. After we loaded it and asked where the elevator was, he told us there wasn’t one to the second-floor rooms. We had to unload the cart and carry everything upstairs. The stair carpet was shockingly dirty. The hallway carpet was better, though it smelled odd. There was no ice on the second floor or any visible vending machine for snacks or water. We left ice to melt in our cups overnight so we’d have a sip of water. GPS had trouble finding the location, which may need to be listed with coordinates.
