Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Canton by IHG

Breakfast was the standout for me, easily the best hotel breakfast I've had. There were so many choices, and the egg white and pepper omelets were delicious. The room was spotless, with Dove shampoo and soap, a comfy bed, and great pillows. Check-in was easy, the guy at the front desk was really nice, and checkout took maybe 20 seconds. This place was awesome.

The room was spacious and clean, but the key card kept failing during my three-night stay. I had to go to the desk eight different times. They'd reset the old card or give me another, then it would stop working again three or four times in a row, so I kept trekking between my room and the lobby. It was incredibly frustrating. Nobody seemed to try to prevent it happening again or offer a sincere apology. Instead, the front desk staff laughed and told me, "don't put this in your review."

Breakfast was tasty, with the usual eggs, meat, waffles, and things like that. The hot tub had something in it that I only noticed once I was already fully in. I decided to call them bubbles and tried to dissociate as best I could. They had a whiteboard saying quiet hours were strictly enforced, but that wasn't true. Music woke us at 4am and never stopped. We finally gave up at 7:30 am after calling the front desk, going down there, and even banging on the wall.

Jacob at the front desk was great, especially with me arriving around 3 in the morning as a worn-out traveler. The room even had a microwave, which feels pretty rare these days. I ended up here after the Detroit airport cancelled all flights for two days and hotels were filling up. They really came through for me. It was an easy, no-stress place to crash.
