I picked TownePlace Suites in Canton, Michigan on a recommendation while visiting family and friends. The mixed reviews had me a little concerned beforehand, but the stay I had at this newer Marriott hotel didn't match the negative feedback I saw. Everyone I met was welcoming and hardworking, and the front desk staff were helpful, especially with local dining suggestions. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the property was clearly well cared for. I also liked the spacious gym, and the pool and laundry areas were clean and inviting. Breakfast was available each morning with plenty of good choices and no limits. The location made it easy to reach the expressways, restaurants, and shops. I really enjoyed the visit, would stay again, and can confidently recommend the hotel.

The staff were friendly, and the price was affordable. My room was clean and in great shape, with a full kitchen that even had a dishwasher and fridge. The pool and gym were clean too, and breakfast was decent. I enjoyed my stay and would happily come back or recommend the hotel.

The one-bedroom suite worked really well for our longer stay during a home remodel. It had a roomy living area, lots of closet space with organizers, and a fully equipped kitchen, so we could keep up our usual routine. The gym and laundry facilities were great, and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating, and by the time we left we felt at home at TownePlace Suites in Canton, MI. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The location wasn't terrible, but I'd look for somewhere else. The room was small, and the fan on the AC and heat didn't work. Someone checked it and said it was fixed, but it still wasn't. Breakfast was just one tray of hot food, eggs and sausage, and apparently the lobby TV can't be changed from CNN. The clerks seemed annoyed whenever we asked a question and were about as unfriendly as they could be.

We came to Canton, Michigan for the University of Michigan football game and had a really relaxing weekend at TownePlace Suites. The whole hotel was spotless and felt welcoming as soon as we arrived. Our room was comfortable and well kept, too. We were very happy with the stay and will come back next time we're nearby.
