The cabins were next to each other, which worked well for our four families, and the location is very good. But the customer service was poor. Even after we complained several times, they didn’t address any of the problems. The house was cold because the heater didn’t work. Bedroom lights were out, there weren’t enough towels, and the kitchen had very few utensils. The cabins also hadn’t been cleaned well, with cobwebs all over. For the high price we paid, this was a very poor experience. We won’t come back.

We’ve been coming here in both winter and summer, and it used to be much better. We brought friends last weekend and stayed in Cabin B, but were disappointed by its condition. The floors are peeling, things are old and coming apart, and the showerheads are old with very low water pressure. There were spiderwebs on the windows, and some lights didn’t work. The TV only gets local channels and isn’t wifi compatible, and the kitchen didn’t even have basic supplies. I could go on. It hurt to see a place we’ve always enjoyed looking like this. I hope the owner takes care of it.

The property was clean, and the rooms had the deer food as promised. The location is top notch, right near the lakeview, and the air conditioning worked well. Still, the lodge room needs maintenance. The bunk bed made a lot of noise, the sofa bed wasn’t comfortable, and some lights didn’t work. I complained, but there was no staff on site to fix them. Check in around 4 PM and let someone know about issues. At night, it’s very dark near the wooden benches, so bring your own lights. For the price, I’d give it 3.5/5 because of the room maintenance.

The hot tub had been left off, so we had to wait to use it, and the fireplace didn’t work. While I was showering, the curtain rod fell on me. The pots and pans were filthy, there were spiders, and the windows had kids’ fingerprints all over them. There was also who knows what else on them. Check the dishwasher too, we found mold in ours and had to hand wash everything. We paid $360 for the cabin and got no compensation when we complained. The whole stay was unpleasant and a lot of work, especially for a birthday.
