We’re loving our stay so far. The 7th floor terrace has amazing water views, and catching the sunset from there was perfect. There’s a restaurant in the hotel too, which we love. It’s brand new, the decor is great, and customer service was excellent when we arrived. A perfect location for cruising from Port Canaveral. Highly recommend it!

Every morning from day 2 through day 6, I woke with severe, intensely itchy bites on my arms and legs. I strongly suspect bedbugs, though you can judge the attached photo for yourself. The front desk changed our bedding twice, but the bites kept coming. I also found a cockroach nymph in the room. On the morning of day 6, I was more concerned and spoke to the front desk. They offered to move us, but I declined because it was our last night. We stayed a week while taking our child to a nearby summer camp, and the experience was a complete nightmare. In our first room, the AC was unbelievably loud and made the whole room shake. When I reported it, the manager was dismissive, said every room had the same AC noise, and refused to move us. I asked again because of the poor service, and a helpful female staff member eventually helped us switch rooms. The second AC was still loud, but at least the walls stopped shaking.

The staff were charming, kind, and helpful, though there wasn’t much service. This hotel is only a year old, so everything feels new and nice. They promptly dealt with minor air conditioning and heating problems and a loose toilet seat. The cruise terminals are very convenient to reach, with a $9 hourly shuttle. It’s fine for a short stay, but we were there longer and found it a bit far from restaurants and entertainment.

Our room was clean, nice, and spacious, though the pillows weren’t good. The rooftop bar had a nice view, and the bartender was pleasant, but the drinks had no flavor. We paid $20 for one and didn’t even finish it because it was so bad. At breakfast the bananas and oranges were rotten, the buffet had limited choices, and the layout was poorly organized. I skipped the food and just had coffee, which was at least hot. After a three-hour drive, we were glad to arrive, but the employee at check-in acted as though she was above the guests. There was no hello, just “I will be with you when I’m done.” A few minutes later she repeated it. It wasn’t only what she said, but her tone; once she started helping, every comment was a snide remark or put-down. We couldn’t believe she spoke to us as if we were beneath her. We’re not mad, but I wouldn’t want her representing my company. We’re Hyatt globalists and won’t stay here again.

Mr Eddie made us feel like globalist loyalty members and reminded us why we stay at Hyatt Hotels. He was professional, friendly, and accommodating, and the hotel was clean. Hot coffee and ice-cold water were always available to guests. People like him are an asset to the company. We travel a lot, and it’s rare to meet someone like this these days. Thank you, Mr Eddie, for bringing back the good old days! :)
