The breakfast was a nice surprise, and they did a good job with it. I’ve had continental breakfast at four or five hotels before, and this was the first one I really liked. The place felt clean and cozy even with all the snow outside, and the guests I met were pleasant. There are plenty of rooms, and I’d recommend staying here. The pool was meant to be indoor and outdoor, but it wasn’t working. Staff could’ve been warmer. Maybe they’re just not very outgoing, but a little friendliness goes a long way in this kind of work. I also wish it were a bit closer to my HQ, though that’s not really the hotel’s fault.

The location is close to everything, so I can see why someone might put up with lower quality to stay here. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom was tiny, about the size of a broom closet. The place is old and run down. On our first night we got stuck in our room because the deadbolt was broken in the striker. Luckily we were on the ground floor. There was no maintenance person on staff, so I got the door open with plastic knives. Breakfast was awful, just frozen egg pucks, a waffle machine, small stale bagels, and cold cereal. When we booked, we asked if they had bacon or sausage like other places on the strip, and they said yes. Kids ran up and down the halls until after midnight while their parents played games in the dining area. The front desk could see them. The hall smelled strongly of weed. Inside the hot tub, the concrete was crumbling underfoot. Outside, nobody seemed to clean up, and there were Miller High Life 40 oz bottles and soda bottles full of urine lying around. Other reviewers say things never get fixed, and I expect the usual blanket apology too.

That room smelled awful as soon as we walked in, and the sliding door had come off, so we couldn’t open it. The beds were rock hard, and my neck hurt badly after sleeping there. There was just one usable charging port, stained lampshades, a bug in the bathtub, and marks on the mirror. The service staff didn’t talk to us, and the breakfast was disgusting. The one bright spot was a great donut place across the street. This is rated three stars, but I’d say it’s closer to one.

The pool and hot tub were the best part of our stay, even if they looked old and worn. The location was great too, but at $240 a night, the rest of the experience just wasn’t worth it. This felt more like an $80-a-night hotel. The room smelled musty, and fingerprints on the desks and other surfaces made it seem like nobody had cleaned them properly. When we asked the front desk for extra pillows and towels, the staff were rude. There were only three pillows for two people. Breakfast was a letdown: frozen breakfast sandwiches that were worse than Jimmy Dean, which I actually like. The breakfast room was so packed that I waited 20 minutes trying to get a waffle and never got one. I might come back if the price were really cheap, but not for what we paid.

The rooms seemed relatively clean, but they felt old and badly maintained. The strong, unpleasant smell hit us as soon as we arrived, and the staff were unfriendly and didn’t help much. Breakfast was very basic. For the price, the whole stay was disappointing.
