The room had a strange smell, almost like a dog, though I got used to it. The blankets and pillows didn’t seem to smell the same, or maybe I’d gone nose-blind by then. I was also disappointed that breakfast didn’t have the turkey sausage shown in the photos. I can’t eat pork, and that was the main thing that made this place stand out from three other hotels nearby. The jacuzzi tub was the biggest letdown. I brought bleach because I expected it might not be cleaned properly, but it was still gross and took away from what should have been a relaxing stay. Some residue from the jets might be understandable, but there was a lot, plus grime rings around the drain and jet button, soap scum, and discoloration in the tub. Since the tub was a major reason I chose the king suite, it should be cleaned thoroughly each time. As a professional housekeeper, I know that takes about three minutes of actual scrubbing, not just spraying and rinsing. I understand it can be hard to make sure every cleaner follows through, so I don’t blame the whole hotel, but they should remind staff to clean the tub and shower every turnover. The stay was decent enough that I’d come back if I couldn’t find another decent hotel for less.

We’ve stayed at hundreds of IHG hotels, and this is the one we keep bringing up. It’s clean, well located, and the staff are great. We’ve recommended it whenever someone we know is nearby, and if we’re passing through the area again, we’ll stay here.

The pool area is really nice, and there’s a small gym too. It could use a bit more equipment, but it’s still good. Our room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially during check-in. Another great IHG stay, and we’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast was good, and the hotel has all kinds of families, sports teams, and people from different backgrounds. During my extended stay while buying a home, I never felt unwelcome, even with my four kids. It felt like home, and I’m grateful for that. This place is extremely kid friendly. My kids and I especially love the manager, Mrs. Susan. She’s a sweetheart, makes you feel welcome, and gives recommendations for things to do around town. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping are wonderful, friendly, and understanding with my kids. I can’t praise this location enough. I’d give it 100 stars and hope everyone, including Mrs.Susan, gets the recognition they deserve.

We were pleasantly surprised by how updated this Holiday Inn Express felt, one of the nicer ones we’ve stayed at. The room was great, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. It’s also a convenient find with lots of restaurants nearby.
