2 River Road Inn and Cottages

We keep coming back to 2 River Road Inn & Cottages, three Octobers in a row now. Nora was so accommodating, even letting us stay after they had planned to close early for the winter. We were really grateful, and she went above and beyond for us. The cottages are cute, quaint, and always very clean, with everything we needed in the kitchenette. There’s a nice little walk in the woods behind them, too. Getting to Ogunquit or Cape Neddick takes about 10 minutes, and right across the street there’s a convenience store for drinks and snacks, a wonderful coffee shop, and a cute antique store. Walker's is one of our favorite restaurants, an easy two-minute drive or a walk away. We recommend staying here 110% and plan to keep returning every year!

We loved the hike at mt agamenticus that they recommended, and they had other good local suggestions, too. The cottage was spotless, quiet, and private, with a gazebo that was lovely for relaxing outdoors. Breakfast was a thoughtful touch. My only suggestion is to offer some Blueberry/Maine flavored tea alongside the great New England coffee.

We booked at the last minute on Monday for Tuesday and Wednesday nights, bringing our dog, and it turned into one of our favorite vacations. The staff were really friendly, the property was beautiful, and the pool was well cared for. York Beach is practically down the street, and the cottage was adorable and incredibly clean. Our dog was welcome, and there are trails behind the cottage for walks. We’ll absolutely be back!

The staff were kind and ready to walk me through everything when I arrived. They’ve put a lot of care into the amenities, making a simple room setup and continental breakfast feel like plenty. My little cottage was wonderful, with a big comfortable bed, and the setting had the cozy charm of a village. Great for what I paid, and somewhere I’ll remember if I’m back up this way.
