Stones Throw

We came for the vegan choices and they really delivered. The pumpkin bread, crab cakes, and No-lob roll were all delicious, and the mocktails were amazing too. We got there relatively early, so it wasn’t busy and we could sit with an incredible ocean view. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but eating here was a great experience. I only wish we’d had time to return and try more of the menu. There are so many vegan options in a place that works for plant-based dining in Maine.

The beaches were clean and easy to get to, and the restaurant had fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Our room was clean and came with a small fridge and everything needed for morning coffee from the coffee pot. We took it out to the balcony and watched the sunrise over the ocean. The view was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

York Beach has a lively strip, and the whole community felt friendly. There’s a grocery store right next to Stones Throw, with just about everything you need, and the people there were awesome. At the hotel, the staff were very friendly, the rooms were extremely clean, and the restaurant and bar were very good. The coffee and tea machines in the room worked great. I haven’t given my whole experience ten stars. We’re definitely coming back.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, just ate at the restaurant, and wow. The food was amazing, portions were generous, and the menu was fun, with lots of interesting gluten-free choices. Much of it seemed fresh and made from scratch. The atmosphere was great too. Get there early, or be ready to wait.
