Capitola Venetian Vacation Rentals

We've stayed here a bunch of times over the past several years, usually in the quaint but fairly modest rooms. This time we had Room 123, and it was absolutely beautiful, with a fireplace, wraparound views, two balconies, and a full kitchen. Evelyn worked hard to sort out the TV problems and get us settled with the other things we needed.

These rooms are rustic and basic, but have a fun, beach-ready feel. Most of the water views are somewhat limited, so keep that in mind.

Room 131 worked well for us: two bedrooms, one very small, plus another bed in the living room. It has a full kitchen with a stove, fridge, and microwave, and a nice balcony facing toward the ocean. Nothing fancy, but it had what we needed. The hotel is five minutes from downtown and just steps from the ocean and river. I only gave the room four stars because the kitchen had just four cups and four coffee mugs, with no plates, bowls, pots, pans, or silverware. A kitchen isn't much use without a few dishes.

I loved the location, but Kerri at the front desk spoiled the experience for me. I booked a room for my wife and myself, and when I arrived to check in she was VERY rude and unprofessional. She couldn't answer most of my questions and seemed very incompetent. I don't recommend this place.
