Kona Palace in Captain Cook

I love that this place is away from the busy tourist areas, while still close enough to reach them when needed. Rebecca went out of her way to make my stay pleasant and suggested several nearby restaurants. Shaka Tacoz was my favorite by far. The grounds are full of lush, interesting plants, and I enjoyed evening walks in the garden and up the driveway. The driveway is manageable once you spot the flat area at the top where you can safely pull into traffic on the main road. My room was pleasant and adequate for my stay, including working nearby, though it wasn’t fancy. Such a peaceful, special place. I can’t wait to stay again.

A cozy, beautiful B&B with amazing Lanai views. Rebecca was kind and made us a fantastic breakfast. The furnishings are lovely, and so is all the stained glass the host makes herself. I’d recommend it if you want somewhere away from the fray.

Breakfast on the Lanai looks out over the Pacific, with a fountain and lots of colorful birds adding to the peaceful feel. The rooms are clean and homey, and the beds are so comfortable. Rebecca is a wonderful host, and staying at the Kona Palace felt like visiting a kind friend. I booked just one night on a whim, but loved it enough that I’m definitely coming back.

I needed a quiet tropical break and Kona Palace was just right. I recently stayed nine nights, my second booking here, and everything was amazing. The central location makes it easy to head out to any side of the island for activities, while the lanai view is breathtaking. Rebecca is wonderful to work with. I’ll definitely book again. A solid five stars.
