Carbondale Value Inn & Suites

I paid $70 for a room that looked like this when I arrived. They wouldn't come inspect it and only offered to send someone to clean. Hours later I found out the water didn't work. The front desk said it couldn't be fixed until tomorrow because they were closed. They didn't want to move me to another room or refund my money. I ended up going to the emergency room after staying in the uncleaned room with rashes. I was told they might be from chiggers or scabies. I'd rather stay behind a dumpster than here.

They need to spray for bugs outside the rooms. I've never seen so many roaches in a parking lot.

The staff were friendly, but that didn't make up for how run down and nasty the place was. It looked nothing like the photos, even though the rooms had “updated” furniture. Our room smelled strongly of cigarettes, the bedding was stained and dirty, and the towels set out as clean had been used. There was no microwave or fridge either. We stayed one night for a graduation and left first thing the next morning. I wouldn't consider this a safe place to stay. Please don't book it.

I've never stayed anywhere this bad. The room smelled awful, the towel and bedding were stained, and there was mouse poop on the bedding. The lamp didn't work, and the fire alarm wasn't even in the ceiling. Check the room before you check in. They refused to refund us once we'd checked in. Absolutely disgusting motel.
