Management deserves real credit for looking out for guests. Our neighbors checked in around 6 pm while we were heading out and had their TV turned up loud. When we came back at 1 am, it was still at the same volume. After at least three episodes of “American Greed,” we called the front desk and asked them to contact the neighbors. Management called but got no answer, then knocked on their door at 3:10 am and asked them to turn the TV down or off. They did, and we slept soundly from 3:30 to 7:30. It’s great to see management act in guests’ interests and take the concern seriously. Kudos to them and to our gracious neighbors. We’ll stay again, and we’ve already booked for next week because we need to return to the area. The hotel is large and conveniently located between Southern Illinois University and Walkers Bluff Casino, with various shops just a few minutes away.

I was in town for the Illinois Funeral Directors Associations convention at the Walker's bluff casino and resort, and stayed here. The rooms were immaculate, and I really enjoyed my visit. Everything from the complimentary breakfast to the room cleanliness was perfect. Sam in particular was great and definitely deserves a raise.

I arrived late at night, and the folks here still gave me a first-class experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole stay was amazing.

After a 14-hour drive, we stopped here, but the front desk staff acted annoyed about checking us in and were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They initially said they couldn’t find our booking and that we didn’t have one. We gave them the confirmation number, and then they found it. They didn’t even tell us where our room was or point out the elevator. The room was filthy and massively overpriced for its quality. I’m glad we only needed to stay one night. I’ve never had hotel staff treat me so rudely, and I’d never consider coming back.

Renovations are underway, but the hotel seems to be keeping things safe, clean, and friendly. The staff were excellent, and our accommodations were adequate. Nice job by the whole Holiday Inn team!
