Motel 6 Carlisle, PA - Cumberland Valley

The location near the highway worked well, and we’d definitely stay again. There were no bugs, which can be hard to find around Carlisle, and the room was nice. The light behind the headboard, two bottles of water, popcorn, and a good-sized fridge with a real freezer were welcome touches. The bed was okay, though the blankets were thin. Some things need attention: the trim and bathroom door looked badly worn and need paint, and the bathroom hardware was loose in the shower. The enclosure was beat up too. The plug-in air freshener was too strong, so I removed it, then immediately noticed cigarette smoke from the adjoining room. Very weird. Still, we’re glad it was a good stay.

The room was comfortable, and we’ll definitely stay here again when traveling with our pet. We usually choose Motel 6, and this one stands out from many others for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and overall comfort. Small touches helped, like a mat outside the door, bottled water, hooks on the bathroom doors, and even shampoo. Our stay was very pleasant.

I’ve stayed here three times, and it’s become my Carlisle home away from home. It’s a clean, simple room at a low price, with fresh sheets and towels. The staff are so accommodating and friendly, and I felt safe here. Gas and food are literally next door.

I expected the worst after staying at budget motels before, but this place pleasantly surprised me on a road trip. The room was modernized, with a comfortable bed and clean sheets and towels. There was a little dirt around the bathroom vanity, but nothing excessive. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. I needed a hair dryer and they brought one down quickly. I’ll definitely stay here again on future road trips.
