The ocean views from the huge patio were lovely, and we could walk across to the beach. I booked just one night and wished we’d stayed longer. The hotel had plenty to do with my two grandsons, ages 6 and 8: a rec room with games to check out, a huge variety of dad's, ping pong, pool tables, a heated pool, two spas, a daily activity list, and a hotel scavenger hunt. The room was spacious, with robes folded inside, plenty of pillows, comfortable beds, and a good shower. The continental breakfast was fine. There’s a restaurant or bar, but I didn’t try it, though locals had good things to say. The staff were great, the location excellent, and the amenities were perfect for the kids. Fred at the front desk was friendly and helpful at check-in. I’ll definitely book again, for longer next time.

The HVAC fan blew too hard and was a little noisy, which kept the room from getting a higher rating. The room looked recently renovated, and housekeeping said new pillows would be coming soon. Ours were hard and uncomfortable, but housekeeping got us a couple of better ones. The mattress was fine, the hotel was quiet, and there were plenty of good towels, including large beach towels. Staff were extremely nice. Breakfast was just okay at best: the waffles were good, and there was bacon and sausage but no eggs. The cereal was mostly sweet varieties plus granola, and the oatmeal was instant rather than freshly made.

The location couldn’t be better, and everyone was so nice. The beds and pillows were phenomenal, and the pool and resort were kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. Breakfast was just okay. The only hot foods offered each day were sausage and bacon, with no potatoes or anything else. We asked whether they’d have eggs, and the attendant said the only eggs were cold, boiled ones in the fridge. Odd breakfast choice. For the price, the bathrooms could use an update. The tiles didn’t fit well and looked out of place, and the shower pressure was weak. The air conditioning was loud, but it didn’t really bother us.

When we arrived, nobody welcomed us, smiled, or gave us information about the area. It’s nice to be greeted warmly when you reach your destination, and that didn’t happen here. The hotel feels more like a motel and needs updating. The bathrooms looked very old, with an old-style toilet, and the website is badly outdated. The worst part was a scheduled protest with thousands of people gathered right in front of our oceanfront room, screaming and yelling. It was a horrible experience. I think the hotel should have told guests ahead of time and let them choose to stay elsewhere. We lost a whole expensive day’s charge because of the protest. We would never return.

We’ve stayed here once before, and came back for another great visit. The location works perfectly for us, and the resort is kept clean. Everyone we dealt with, from the front desk and housekeeping to maintenance and the continental breakfast staff, was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. We’re already looking forward to returning.
