Super 8 by Wyndham Meadowlands

The bed was really comfortable, but the walls were chipped and could use repairs, and the water flow was weak. In room 119 the electrical setup was bad, the USB outlets didn’t work, and the light kept flickering. The shower was pretty nice, and the place looked more like a motel. There was nowhere else nearby, and no breakfast. We booked on Agoda, where breakfast was listed, but the workers said they only gave out cereal bars in the morning. Some areas smelled like cigarettes, and it felt a bit pricey for what you get.

We chose this hotel because it was near MetLife Stadium, but the property didn’t look anything like the photos and felt unsafe. The room doors were outside, and the area seemed sketchy. We checked in and left within seven minutes. We didn’t use the room or bathroom or stay at all, but the staff still tried to charge us and refused to refund the deposit. It was unprofessional and unacceptable. If safety, cleanliness, and honesty matter to you, don’t stay here.

The one good thing was getting to leave early and receive a refund for the two nights we didn’t stay. The rest was creepy and had awful vibes. Neither bed had been cleaned or even given fresh sheets, and both were stained and obviously slept in. There was hair all over the shower, and the curtain was in shambles. Don’t rely on Expedia or the pictures. They’re inaccurate.

During our four day, three night leisure stay, the bathroom was a real problem. The water swung between extremely cold and very hot, so the mixers seemed to be malfunctioning. The sink area was also poorly lit because the bulbs didn’t work. I reported both problems to reception on the first day, but they still hadn’t been addressed by the time we left. I won’t consider Super 8 Hotels for future stays.
