The Feathered Star B&B

It's a quiet, comfortable place in a great location for enjoying the area. Rosie and I both felt welcome, which isn't always easy to find when traveling with a dog. Sandy was a kind, thoughtful host, and we had a great stay at the Feathered Star B&B. We'll be back!

I could relax quietly on my deck, while still being close enough to get to the activities Door County is known for. The building and Sandy were accommodating to guests with pets and/or handicaps. As this was my first B&B stay, I was very pleased. Sandy was friendly and attentive to each guest's needs, and breakfast was always pleasant, with Door County coffee, fresh fruit, and homemade muffins or coffee cakes. I'll be back.

Room 5 or 6 gives dogs patio access and easy access to the trails and backyard, though all the rooms can comfortably accommodate a dog. We felt valued and special as guests. The old home has a cozy, comfortable feel, and breakfast pastries made from scratch were a nice touch. It's right by Door County Winery/Distillery and just down the road from everything else. A comfortable, affordable, accessible spot for a weekend in Door, whether you're bringing a dog or not.

We brought our big girls along for a little getaway and couldn't have picked a better place. We have an 85lb Doberman and a very scared 75lb shep x, and Sandy was great about welcoming them without expecting them to be the hugging type. Having an outside door from our room made it easy to take them out without running into other people. Our girl hurt her shoulder, so we spent more time in the room than planned. Sandy was understanding when we said we'd check out some nearby places and leave the dogs to rest. They can get pretty talkative sometimes, and she said she enjoyed listening. We'll definitely come back with the girls!
