Courtyard Carolina Beach Oceanfront

The location and staff were great, and they communicated with me a lot through the app. Renovations are underway, but nothing affected my visit. I loved the suite upgrade and the top-notch views. There were two shampoos and a conditioner on the wall but no body wash, which I didn't realize until I was already washing off. Also, the bedroom thermostat seemed locked and wouldn't cool down, while the living area thermostat worked great. I think it was locked like the one at the Fairfield where I stayed the night before. Plenty to do within walking distance, with the boardwalk right outside. Great place to stay!

Alley, one of the front desk supervisors, was incredibly helpful and a great multitasker. My friend and I were both having health issues, and she took a cart out to our cart, unpacked it, and brought our things to the room. When I had a medical issue, she was right there and took care of things. I can't thank her enough. It's a beautiful resort, with clean rooms and a gorgeous ocean view. I highly recommend it.

We stayed for two nights starting Christmas Day and met Alley Bilello when we arrived. She was very nice and friendly. Our thermostat kept kicking on the air at 75, cooling the room back down after it got comfortably warm. She tried to help and brought the housekeeping supervisor, but neither could get it changed. Alley arranged for maintenance to come at 9 Friday morning, and gave us a card for free breakfast to make up for the inconvenience, though we hadn't expected it. We were back before 9, but maintenance didn't show all day. At 2 pm, when Alley arrived, she came to the room with them. She went above and beyond to look after us. Maintenance eventually fixed the thermostat so we had heat without the air coming on, thank goodness. We want Alley to get the recognition she deserves for taking care of guests. She's great management material!

The staff made this a wonderful stay. We saw Michelle and Luke at the front desk and Victor in housekeeping helping attendees of a Natl Fed of the Blind conference around the lobby, onto the elevators, and likely from guest rooms to the elevators and down to the lobby. It touched my wife and me to see their care and thoughtfulness toward guests who were sight impaired, especially in today's world of political discord. Michelle and Luke also made check-in attentive. We arrived very early expecting to get a parking pass and wait by the pool or ocean until the room was ready that afternoon, but our room was available well before normal check-in. We hope we didn't rush the staff. Brittni in sales was helpful and generous in setting things up, and Jamie at the bar was a lot of fun at night. We first stayed at the Courtyard Carolina Beach in Sept 2025. The location is fantastic, right on the boardwalk but at one end, so there was less noise at night. Oceanfront views were excellent. Even if the hotel wasn't the best for amenities, the staff's kindness made it a great stay, and we hope to return. This was our first beach trip of 2025, and we really enjoyed it. Brittni said the hotel will get a refresh soon, which should make future stays even better. Thank you, everyone!
