Pure Paradise Resort

We’ve found our go-to spot for Northern Michigan trips. The rooms were roomy and cozy, and the A/C was ice cold in the summer heat. Chad, the owner/operator, was incredibly friendly and helpful, making everything feel comfortable and easy. There were lots of extras included, from fire pits and wood to kayaks and canoes with the gear, plus a cute swing seat by the lake on a nice, open lot with a dock. It really does live up to its hidden gem name.

We could walk to the dock in just a few minutes, where there were canoes, kayaks, a pedal boat, picnic table, swing, and fire pit. The outside area was well cared for and had yard games. Our room was charming, updated, clean, and quiet, with comfortable beds and a handy kitchenette. We travel with our Vizsla, and this was a great dog-friendly place. The owner was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back for a longer stay.

Chad was friendly and helpful, and the service was great. We liked the location too, close to everything but far enough away to stay quiet and laid back. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with lake access just a short stroll across the street. Being pet friendly was much appreciated.

We stayed as a family of four for the first time and were really impressed by this adorable, clean little motel. The area was very quiet, and across the street there’s a Carp Lake access site where you can swim or use the free kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, and other boats. Our room’s kitchenette worked perfectly for us, with a full-sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and dishes. The beds were clean and very comfortable, the WiFi worked well, and the shower was good. We’ll definitely stay here again.
