It was incredibly quiet, and I slept really well. The place is pet friendly, and there are several spots within walking distance, including the new skate Park, Albertsons shopping plaza, and linden Street. For a place to rest and explore, this worked well for us, and we'd come back. The decor and gardens have a quaint feel, with Spanish tile, flowers, and lights. I loved the jetted bathtub, which was a magical surprise in the room. I wasn't sure whether the tucked-away garden areas were private or open to everyone. It seemed like there might be a mix of long-term and short-term tenants, which was interesting, but the overall atmosphere was mellow.

I can't remember the Friday afternoon check-in receptionist's name, but I'd give her 10 stars. She was always smiling and so pleasant. Whenever I had a concern, she did everything she could and more to help.

The free breakfast was nice, and the beds were comfy in a clean room. I loved the garden as a place to sit with a drink and take in the full moon. We could have borrowed a bike, but instead walked into town, to the largest Torrey Pine in the world, and to nearby eateries. We'd definitely come back. We had a lovely quiet room for our trip to the avocado festival, which was within walking distance. The cute floor tiles and jacuzzi tub were a treat at the end of each day.

The adobe-style building was a refreshing change, and the inside carried that look through. The staff were friendly, and it's close to a lot of places. The rooms and exterior seemed recently renovated. I'd stay again.

The Spanish-style architecture is lovely, with gorgeous flowers and all kinds of plants around it. I didn't try the breakfast, though it's included, which could help if you're traveling on a budget. The place is very affordable, the staff are friendly, and it's close to Santa Barbara. I'd recommend it.
