Best Western Plus Carrizo Springs Inn & Suites

The one minor nuisance was having to recode my room key every day I was there. I think the coding machine was the issue. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay. I didn’t want to leave, but my company is cheap, uh, I mean budget-conscious. The staff are friendly, housekeeping does a great job and works around our hours, the rooms are a good size, and breakfast is good.

I really loved my stay and would recommend this place. It’s in my personal top five. I’d seen all the negative reviews before coming, and honestly, people are crazy. The staff were amazing, everything was clean, and the whole stay was great.

Breakfast was easily worth $15 at another hotel restaurant. It was free here, with everything you’d expect and then some: fresh eggs made differently each day, refried or whole beans every morning, and breakfast potatoes too. My room was already cool when I arrived on a hot day. The welcome from the staff was friendly, and the bathroom, bed, and linens were clean. I stayed multiple nights and it was quiet every night.

There was a nice range of breakfast choices, but the food wasn’t hot and the tortilla was hard. At least the dining room had a microwave. The stairwells needed vacuuming, and one morning we had no running water for over three hours. The staff were friendly, but maintenance never fixed the room phone or replaced the broken clock. The water didn’t get hot enough for a shower, even though the laundry setup was better than at basic Best Westerns. My room was well lit, but the outlets connected to the lights didn’t work. More extras meant more problems.
