Comfort Inn & Suites Carrollton

We were passing through and stayed just one night. The staff were polite and nice, and the room was mostly clean, though it needed a little more attention. There was mildew in the shower. The main problem was the people next door constantly screaming at their kids.

We had an emergency trip come up at the last minute, and they took care of us without any trouble, even with our 2:30 am check-in. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and I'd stay here again.

My wife got stuck in the bathroom, and I was trapped in the elevator for half an hour. The place is outdated and has problems. Some staff are sweet, but others are careless. I'd look elsewhere for a place to stay.

We had a very comfortable stay and found almost nothing to criticize. The rooms were very clean, the employees extremely nice, and breakfast was good. There were plenty of luggage carts, and pets are allowed for a reasonable $25-per-night deposit. I was especially relieved there was no mold or mildew smell, since I'm hypersensitive to mold. That had been an issue at the Hampton Inn next door. My only practical suggestion is to refill the lotion, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers between guests, since our lotion was empty. The beds felt a little hard to me, though my husband liked them, so that's just personal preference. We've stayed at Choice Hotels often, but the quality in that chain seems to have declined over the years. This was a 99.9% positive experience. The Hampton Inn nearby does have friendly staff and a choice of grab-and-go or very good sit-down breakfast, but the dirty, smelly, moldy, uncomfortable rooms outweighed those positives for us. I'd choose this Comfort Inn.
