The mountain views made the stay feel like a real escape, and our family loved them too. We got married here yesterday and spent a few nights in Margaret’s room. The place was beautiful, and the wedding coordinator somehow handled photography and baked our cake as well. Some of the staff were new, but everyone was friendly and seemed willing to pitch in wherever needed. It was an intimate spot for a wedding, and we’re definitely coming back. Such a hidden gem in the mountains.

The food was absolutely delicious, and Jamie at the bar kept drinks moving quickly even while training a new bartender. Our guests kept her busy, and they enjoyed every minute. My husband and I rented the entire venue for our wedding on Nov 6, 2021, and the whole process, from booking through the event, was smooth and painless. We came from out of state, and Debbie, the wedding planner, made everything easier by helping with vendors and explaining how to get our marriage license. She even baked the wedding cake, which was better than I imagined. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. We can’t wait to return, and I’ll recommend Christopher Place Resort to everyone.

We’re still talking about how good breakfast and dinner were, even though it’s been over a week since our visit. The estate was gorgeous, and the mountain view from our room was amazing. It was just the romantic weekend escape we wanted, and we’re already recommending Christopher Place to friends. We definitely plan to come back. Thanks for a perfect getaway.

The raspberry chocolate mousse with the gingersnap pie crust, made by chef Nancy, was a favorite, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts and our chats with Amy. My husband and I stayed two nights at Christopher Place Resort while traveling back to Virginia from Alabama. It was an ideal halfway stop to rest and recharge. Booking was easy, and the staff were very helpful. Our Camelot room was spacious and clean, with beautiful mountain views. There’s also a peaceful, beautiful walk through the white arbor right on the grounds. We went rafting on the Pigeon River with the Nantahala Outdoor company, whose guides and outfit were first class. Thanks for everything!

That upstairs common area was a fun extra I hadn’t expected, and the bar area was really neat too. Our top-floor room was huge, and the staff were very helpful. We liked hiking around the grounds and checking out the different porches for the views. Breakfast was amazing, with a great look out over the garden. My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary. After I posted photos at home, a family friend said she and her husband had visited recently and enjoyed their stay too. Thanks again!
