Super 8 Omaha Eppley Airport/carter Lake

Breakfast was just waffles, and the coffee in the pot was cold from the night before. We had to ask them to make fresh coffee at 8 a.m. The room had cockroaches, a Walmart bag covering the fire alarm, a tub that wouldn’t drain, and a dirty spot on the back of the toilet. The bed was broken, too.

The only part I liked was that they had an airport shuttle in both directions. The room had little gnats flying around, and we had to ask for towels. It was dirty, there were bed bugs, and breakfast was below satisfactory. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

I didn’t stay here, thankfully. I stopped at this Casey’s on the way to the airport and saw the lake, which is right in the backyard. The whole area looks like hell, with junk in the windows, boxes, and stuff everywhere. Cleaning it up would make a big difference. The lake itself feels depressing too; someone should add something fun. There are plenty of people around, but not even a bathroom?

I spent one night here and won’t be back. They moved me in the middle of the night from a room infested with bed bugs to another one they called an upgrade. It looked like a storage room, with a couch shoved against the wall, and both the room and hot tub were filthy. When I asked why I’d been moved to a storage room, staff said it wasn’t one, the couch was against the wall because it couldn’t fit through the door, and the room was dirty because their housekeeper was pregnant. I wasn’t compensated for having to switch rooms.
