The staff were really friendly and helpful. It’s a nice little place to visit, but there’s a lot of smoking and the smell is intense. If smoke bothers you, I’d skip it.

The beds were hard, so none of us slept well, and my shower barely got above cold. That’s what I need from a hotel, a decent night’s sleep and a hot shower, and this place missed both. I won’t stay again. The front desk service was good, and the rooms felt modern and spacious. The sliding barn door to the bathroom lets sounds carry into the room. The shower setup was odd too: its half wall didn’t keep all the water in, and the controls were on the opposite wall from the shower head. When I called about the water, they said to wait. My husband showered around 20 minutes later and got hot water. Staff said the heater had been acting up off and on, even though the hotel is only a year old.

There’s just one place to eat, more of a bar and snack counter. The food was good, we had Philly steak & cheese and wings, but on weekdays it’s only open from noon to 10pm. There’s nothing to buy for breakfast, not even a drink or snack machine in the hotel. Sonic is only a few minutes down the street, though. I’d still like to see a proper sit-down restaurant here. We booked a king suite with a balcony looking over the river for one night on vacation. The room was awesome, with lots of space, a comfy bed and a beautiful view, even through the fog.

The room looked great, but it wasn’t clean. After the first night there were Asian bugs all over, and walking barefoot left my feet black. On the morning of Dec 26, I asked the front desk for housekeeping to mop, deal with the bugs and bring fresh towels. We had only towels, no washcloths. The woman was very friendly until I made the request, then her manner changed and she seemed uncaring. When I got back that evening, nothing had been done. I went to the desk again; she took a picture of the black towel and brought clean ones. She said they were short on housekeeping staff. Floors should be mopped as a basic standard. I don’t recommend this place.
