The Mayton

Sitting in the lobby by the fireplace, or chatting with people I’ve just met, feels easy here. I especially like the rocking chairs out front, where you can relax and watch people pass by, smile, and say hello. After long business trips, the Mayton Hotel feels like home, even after a roughly 14-hour journey. The staff greet you warmly, look after your luggage, and make it easy to unwind. Paul welcomed me back with a handshake and said he was happy to see me again after so long. That meant a lot. The rooms are spotless and thoughtfully designed, with the same inviting style as the rest of the hotel. Artwork by local and regional artists gives the floors and hallways a distinct character. The lobby’s fireplace, seating, colors, and art make it a lovely place to spend time. From the moment you arrive, the view is calm and distinctive, and the setting in North Carolina feels a world away from the fast-moving technology hub outside. I recommend the hotel for work trips and for a chance to switch off. There’s a sense of genuine, heartfelt hospitality throughout. Thank you, Mayton Hotel, for making a place that feels warm and full of soul.

The restaurant on the ground floor has great food, and the staff are excellent. The interior is exquisite, and the price is good. Mayton brings luxury and tradition together beautifully. It’s a wonderful place to stay, and from now on it’ll be my first choice whenever I’m nearby. Thanks, team Mayton!

I’ve eaten breakfast, brunch, and dinner at the restaurant, and we even celebrated Thanksgiving with family there. The chef and servers are wonderful. When I’m visiting family in Cary and Raleigh, The Mayton Inn is where I like to stay. The King Suite I had this time was spacious, with lots of windows, views of the fall trees and quaint streets, and a remodeled bathroom. The warm, inviting atmosphere starts as soon as you walk in. It has a great vibe, right by Cary Park and close to everything in Downtown Cary. I also meet colleagues in the library for tea or out on the bar and patio for drinks. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and always go out of their way to make the visit special. Russel, Thomas, and Paul made this stay especially memorable.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Mayton. Dinner and brunch at Peck & Plume were both exceptional, and the staff were friendly. There’s plenty to reach on foot in downtown Cary.
