Hampton Inn Caryville-I-75/Cove Lake-State Park

There’s a great view of the lake, with swings where you can sit and enjoy it. Our room also had a little balcony facing outside, and both the room and bathroom had plenty of space to move around. The first floor has a ramp for handicapped-accessible rooms. Travis was great at check-in, and when our TV wasn’t working properly, he came right over and fixed it.

We had a balcony in our room, and the views made it feel perfect. The rooms were the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in, and Janet, I believe our housekeeper was called, was awesome and welcoming. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind, too. Breakfast actually had flavor and was great. They also put out freshly baked cookies in the evening, still soft and warm when I got mine. We were very impressed and will be back. The one problem was that we had no Wi-Fi either day. They were trying to fix it, but it still wasn’t working at checkout, so my husband will have to finish his work at home.

We stayed here for the night last weekend before heading to Knoxville, and it was great. The staff were all very friendly, and breakfast was really good. Since we had a baby with us, they helped out by providing a playpen. If we travel down to TN again, we’ll definitely stay here.

The staff were nice, but I’d never stay at this location again. The rooms were absolutely disgusting, and even the smell was horrible. I was told all the pet-friendly rooms smell that way. On top of that, the room was very dirty and full of dead bugs. It’s a shoes-on-all-the-time kind of place. The beds were extremely hard, so sleeping on my side was uncomfortable. I wouldn’t shower there. Breakfast was the usual waffles and cereal selection.
