We were only looking for a few hours of sleep on the way back from Kansas, so I was willing to accept a cheaper room. But I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Best Western and Holiday Inn are just a few minutes’ walk away, offer much higher quality, and cost barely more. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. The problems started outside: the parking lot and building had no lights when we arrived. Staff said the timers hadn’t been adjusted yet. We were worried about our vehicle, though the lights eventually came on. In the first room, the toilet kept running and clearly wasn’t working after we tried it. We asked to move rather than wait for someone to repair it. After dropping our things, we went out for a late dinner. When we returned and had been in the new room for about ten minutes, we pulled back the sheets and found stains and hair that belonged to neither of us. We left for another hotel. The desk staff weren’t accommodating or apologetic when we asked for a refund. They passed the request to the manager, who was meant to call, but never did. We had to call days later. The manager was entirely unapologetic and said they wouldn’t consider a refund, adding that the toilet in the first room had been fixed. It should have worked when we arrived, and we didn’t want to wait around for plumbing repairs when all we wanted was to relax and go to bed. Rude staff and unacceptable rooms.

There was plenty of space to move around, and it was quiet, which we appreciated. The bed was good, but the pillows were too small and too soft. The shower curtain was torn. Maybe things will be better next time.

As a travel tech, I find the rooms fairly cheap. There’s no weekly rate, but it’s flexible. At this price, where else will you find a pool and whirlpool? I’d recommend joining as a member to save more.

The staff were kind and friendly, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The room didn’t match what was listed online: we paid for two queen beds and got one queen and a pullout. The queen bed sheets had pee stains, blood-looking marks, and a big hole, and the pillows had black stains. The room smelled dirty, and there was hair on plates that wasn’t ours. The website said breakfast was included, but there was none when we went down this morning. There was also little to no hot water in the shower. I’d post pictures, but it won’t let me.
