My wife and I have traveled across the states and stayed at many Days Inns, and this front desk lady was the worst person I've encountered. She seemed bothered when we arrived without a reservation, and just before that we heard her yelling at another guest. We were appalled and left quickly, so I didn't get her name. She was an older white blonde lady. We stayed across the street instead. I've never reviewed a place without staying there, but travelers around Castle Rock should be warned. It's sad the hotel can't find better staff. I assume the owner cares about people, since they went into hospitality, but the business would benefit from a better front desk team. I saw a lot of reviews describing the same experience, so this seems to be the standard here.

We left and got rooms at the Hampton inn two hotels down. The staff there were so sweet and couldn't believe how Days Inn treated us. They said Days Inn was the worst hotel in the area and that we were lucky not to have stayed. So all is good with god. At Days Inn, the front desk lady treated us like trash for asking about early check-in, even though we were only 45 minutes early. We went to eat at Culver’s down the street. When we came back at 3, she said our reservation had been cancelled because our boys were roughhousing in the parking lot while we packed to leave for food. She told us, “we don’t want that business in our hotel.” We're a church volleyball team, and the boys were outside the establishment, doing no harm. The front desk lady has also responded to this review herself, which makes sense to me given the hotel's 2-star average across platforms. Don't stay here. The staff are intolerable, as you can see in the current reviews. A bad review reaches more people than a response defending a terrible human being and mocking god. Loni, you should work on yourself. I also forgot to mention that she called all the surrounding hotels and warned them about our “kind.” The person at Hampton inn was on the phone with her while booking my room and told us Days Inn has nothing but problems with the lady there, then wished us a good stay. I've attached photos from hotels.com showing Loni, the terrible front desk lady, responding to every review. How is that even allowed? 😂

There are plenty of other places to stay nearby, and I'll choose one next time. Expect lots and lots of texts after calling, far too many, then a message at 8:00am saying you can check out. At night the front desk staff weren't friendly and didn't answer the phone. Around 9:30 in the morning, nobody was at the desk either. It's a 2-star hotel and operation, and the big takeaway is they don't care.

We moved here from the Comfort Inn across the street because its hot tub was lukewarm, hoping to soak with my honey. Instead, the front desk staff made the stay awful. I left in tears, and I'm a tough woman. When I made a simple request, the main woman, Loni, and her helper rolled their eyes and sighed just around the corner, talking about how exasperating it was to serve paying customers. We left our relatives early to get hot tub time. The posted hours are 7 am to 10 pm, but at 9:30 the guy had closed it early because nobody was using it. He didn't offer to reopen it. Earlier, he'd come over, shut off the jets, and walked away without explanation. It felt weird and off-putting, so we left early because he seemed to want the space. We didn't want to bother him while customers were waiting a long time to check in, so I went to my room and called customer service to get someone to help them. About seven minutes later, he came and helped them. The next morning the tub still wasn't open. They said nobody needed it. I asked them at 8:30 am to open the amenities I paid for during posted hours so guests could choose to use them, and they were condescending and rude. It became a scene and turned an already hard stay into tears. Breakfast had no meat, just hard boiled eggs and pancakes, and the bananas they served were rotten. The rooms have LVP instead of nasty carpet, but there's no room to spread out toiletries or makeup. These employees are lazy and rude. Take my advice and don't stay here.

The room was awesome for the price, and the indoor pool and hot tub were nice. The complimentary breakfast buffet is a great touch, though I'd rather have warm eggs than hard-boiled ones. I travel a lot, and these were the worst bed pillows I've ever slept on. Every one was hard as a rock, with gum ball-sized lumps all through them. They felt like camping, with clothes wadded up for pillows.
