The staff are consistently friendly, and check-in is quick. A few weeks ago we stayed here and everything was great, with nothing to complain about. This time we had a first-floor room, and I found items on both beds that weren't ours. It made me think the sheets hadn't been changed. I would have asked for fresh ones, but our little ones were already asleep when I noticed. The toilet also wouldn't flush properly. Clean sheets matter so much in a hotel, and this could be a deal breaker for coming back. 😬

The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and breakfast was great. The area is nice and works well as a stop while crossing the country. I have three little dogs, and it's so hard to find a decent place that accepts more than two pets. The staff here were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
The bagged continental breakfast could use more, maybe a prepackaged orange or apple juice. We ended up loving the Waffle House next door, especially the dine-in egg, bacon, and grits bowl. The hotel itself has been nicely updated, and the staff were respectful and gave excellent service. The salt pool was open and has no chlorine, though I didn't get a chance to use it myself. My room seemed to have a new, firm mattress, just right for me, and I slept well. 👍
The staff were kind, helpful, and courteous, and the maintenance guy was great about handling our requests. We had to ask for a replacement microwave because ours was broken, and our door handle broke during the stay. The pool also had a LOT of chlorine. There wasn't a hot breakfast, despite what the website advertises. Instead we got a brown bag with a frozen yogurt cup, an ice-cold honey bun, and stale granola bars. They also don't clean rooms when you're staying more than one night. With those limits, the hotel felt overpriced. Maybe the rating would be higher if they're fully staffed and serving hot breakfast again.
Our stay was nice. The room and bathroom were clean and up to date, and the pool was pleasant. The hot tub was actually just a 'spa', with no jets. Breakfast had a good range of choices, although the only hot options were oatmeal and waffles. The elevator could have used a cleaning.
