SureStay Hotel by Best Western Castro Valley

The whole property has a welcoming, positive feel, and I felt safe and respected. The rooms are comfortable, consistently clean, and well maintained. Les, the property manager at SureStay by Best Western Castro Valley, is friendly, professional, and solution oriented. He goes out of his way to accommodate guests whose situations may be different, with an understanding and respect that really matters. The front desk and housekeeping staff deserve credit too. They're friendly, professional, and extremely helpful, and the team clearly works together to keep things running smoothly and make guests feel cared for. If you're in the area and want a clean, welcoming place managed by someone who cares, this is it. -MJ

I needed a night here before a long road trip, and check-in was quick and easy. The man who checked me in was polite and efficient. My room was clean and comfortable, and the parking lot was well lit and seemed secure. I'd recommend it for a quick stay.

The location is convenient, and the staff were polite. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean and smelled fresh, with good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was a basic continental one. No complaints.

My single bed room was huge, with lots of floor space and a reasonably sized restroom. The sink being near the entry instead of in the bathroom was the one odd thing. The room was fairly clean, and I was glad there was no grime or buildup in the bathtub. Parking was easy, with lots of spaces. The lobby is small, but they have bottled water available all day and a morning continental breakfast with toast, pastries, coffee, juice, yogurt, and oatmeal. The yogurt happened to be protein yogurt when I was there. Check-in took less than five minutes because I had a reservation, and the staff greeted me promptly. They said they had been worried I was a walk-in, but seemed relieved when I confirmed I had booked. This place seems popular and doesn't have many last-minute vacancies, so plan ahead. I booked one night for work in another city and was very pleased. I'd happily stay again if I'm in Hayward/CV.
