Crystal Inn

We didn’t get our $50 deposit back because they said we left the room dirty, but nothing was broken or damaged, and the room wasn’t dirty. The two trash cans were full because housekeeping hadn’t come the day before checkout. During the stay, I had to ask for the room to be cleaned, and the housekeeper often had an attitude and made excuses. She said she couldn’t enter because she was afraid of dogs, even after I put my chihuahua in his crate and told her. She also complained that she had many other rooms to do. It felt like they kept our deposit unfairly. I wouldn’t choose this place for a week or longer, maybe just one night. The guest laundry washer and dryer weren’t good either, they didn’t wash clothes properly.

We brought our pets along, and check-in was easy. The room was roomy, with a microwave and fridge, and the shower was great. It was a pleasant stay.

We needed somewhere for one night while our AC was being repaired, and the room was decent enough, but we won’t be back. It was humid, and the bed felt like a rock. The $50 refundable deposit was okay, though it caught me by surprise. I also missed the sign in the far right window about the $10 pet charge, so an hour after check-in someone knocked and asked us to go to the office. I explained we hadn’t seen it and was happy to pay, but he seemed annoyed. We also bought two Sprites, chips, and a Snickers, then noticed the next day we’d been charged $18. That seemed ridiculous, though I should’ve asked for a receipt.

The room smelled fresh, was spotless, and I didn’t see any bugs. The AC kept the room comfortable all night, and I felt safe there. The price was hard to beat. I’d recommend it, though there wasn’t a coffee pot.
