Days Inn by Wyndham Cave City

Breakfast is simple, with donuts, bagels, coffee, juice, toast, and cereal, which worked well for a quick start. The price was good, staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were fast. Days Inn is in a convenient spot near the attractions. I’ve stayed at a couple of hotels around here and this was definitely the best, very clean and comfortable.

It was a quiet place, and I’d stay again on another trip to Mammoth. The sheets were clean and the bathroom looked good, though the ceiling had a lot of water damage. The room was a bit dusty, the floor wasn’t very clean, and the front desk clerk was just alright.

The breakfast is pretty limited, cereal, bagels, pastries, and yogurt, with no eggs, bacon, or waffles. Still, that fits the price. The place was very clean and well maintained, and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly. No complaints, and I’d stay again.

The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were clean and white. The toilet didn’t flush well and the tub dripped constantly, otherwise I’d have given a perfect score. I only needed a soft bed for the night, and it was great for me and my puppy. The $20 dog charge seemed fair. I didn’t check out breakfast since I don’t eat until the afternoon. There’s a laundry room, workout room, and a nice-looking outdoor pool, which seemed clean, though I didn’t use those facilities. Lots of kids were in the pool, and I was just there to sleep. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful. The location is handy, just off 65, with a Cracker Barrel and a few other restaurants across the street and two gas stations on the same side as the hotel. Easy to get in and out and back onto 65 without crossing the road or interstate bridge for gas.
