Pointe at Castle Hill Resort

The bed was perfect, and I slept better here than away from home anywhere outside of Marriot stays. I’d definitely return, and the extra ten bucks for the suite is worth it: full kitchen, fireplace, washer and dryer, a four-seat table, and a recliner. It may look newly remodeled, but I think it’s more likely just been properly cared for. The place was super clean. My only complaints are that the bathroom needs more hooks, and the front door makes noise when wind comes through as the outside door opens. I really can’t say enough good things.

The staff were really friendly, and I appreciated the birthday gift they left in our room for my husband. The location worked well for our Okemo trip, and we’d consider staying again, though next time we’d bring snacks and shelf-stable food. We spent five days here, and for the price I expected more. The website photos felt a bit misleading, and our king room left a lot to be desired. Its jetted tub had no working jets, the shower pressure was just okay, and the room had no microwave. You can ask the front desk to warm food, but that’s inconvenient. The gym and restaurant are separate from the hotel, which was a letdown. The restaurant is very fancy and expensive, fine if that’s what you want, but not helpful when you’re after basic food instead of beef Wellington. Breakfast upstairs is $17 per person for the buffet with hot food, or $10 per person for cold choices, though I’m not sure what they offer. The small, unheated pool wasn’t great, and you need coins for the game room, though there’s a change machine. The town has plenty of food options, but they’re pricey for what you get. There’s no DoorDash or Grubhub delivery, so you have to drive. If it’s in your budget, I’d book the full suite with a kitchen.

The front desk went out of their way to help me on two different occasions, and the service at The Point was top notch. It’s a great spot for skiing Okemo. I’ll definitely go back.

The pool and hot tub were nice. The place is old and definitely due for updates, though our room was clean and didn’t smell. The AC wasn’t working right. They restarted it, which fixed it for a while, but then it quit again.
