The new room seemed fairly clean, though the shower was stained and could use resurfacing. The staff were pretty good, and breakfast was the usual free hotel food. The rooms and beds were spacious, but the pillows were small. Our first room, 166, had ants on the wall. Other reviews mention the same thing, so I guess the problem hasn't been fixed. I'm also a Diamond member and didn't get a welcome amenity at check-in. Maybe they don't know about it, I guess.

On our return trip, room 136 had mold in the shower grout, and there was a water bottle and a sock under the bed that weren't ours. We stopped here twice in one week as a midway point on our trip. The first stay was fine, nothing special but nothing to complain about. I really like that they have an option with three beds. We arrived too late to use the pool, and the staff were really nice.

We'd stay here again for the price. The room was tidy, the breakfast was good, and the coffee was great. The air conditioning took a while to cool things down because the windows had been left open, but eventually it did. It seemed like the staff might be a small team since they were busy all the time, but everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel is right on Main Street, in a town that felt safe and welcoming. Several restaurants are an easy walk or short drive away.

I couldn't wait to get home and shower. There was a bug on my pillow, and pests need to be dealt with. We thought about leaving, but we were exhausted and had paid with points, so another hotel would've been expensive. We got up at 4:30 and were driving away shortly after five. The bed itself was comfortable, and I slept well once I finally fell asleep. The room was 78 degrees when we arrived and went up to 79. I set the air conditioner to 71, but at 5 a.m. the room was still 76, about the same as outside. In the desert, ventilation and working air conditioning matter. The sink stopper didn't work, which is a problem for anyone with contacts, though putting a washcloth over the drain solved it. Noisy kids stayed in the pool until 11 p.m. Getting checked in Friday night, 7/9, took a little while. The lobby was cooler than outside, but it was 90 degrees outdoors at 10 p.m., so that didn't say much. We were on the second floor in room 251, and I'm glad there was an elevator and a luggage cart. Parking was packed, mostly because the classic car group had three cars taking up four or five spaces. My mom called the desk to explain we were leaving early at 5 a.m. They told her to bring the cards to the lobby. She had to repeat that we'd be leaving at five before they understood and said to leave the keys in the room.

We could hear the neighbors all night. Maybe it was the location of our room, the busy weekend, or the insulation, and I'm sure some rooms must be better. Still, my wife and I slept poorly for all three nights and woke up sore each morning. The beds were the worst we've had. The office staff were kind and knew their stuff, and the room looked nice. The location was close to everything we needed, so things seemed promising at first.
