The staff are caring, upbeat people, and for the price I didn’t think the stay was bad. The rooms, though, are very basic, aged, and don’t seem well looked after. There was a bar of soap but no shampoo, and the pool doesn’t seem to be there anymore. Quite a few guests also appeared to be living here for more than a few days.

The location is convenient, with Target, Walmart, McDonald’s, a tobacco shop, and other places within walking distance, and the other guests were respectful. The reason I’m giving four stars, though, is Chris. On my last night of a three-day stay, a woman fell and broke her foot. Her two full-grown pitbulls were nearly pulling her along, so I grabbed them and went for help. Chris came right away when I called the front desk, and he was respectful and accommodating. We stayed with her until the ambulance took her to the hospital. I’d give five stars if the other employees had shown that same energy, but they didn’t. Chris deserves a raise, lol.

Rochelle was especially kind and went out of her way to make the stay easy and comfortable. Patty, Cici, Chris, and Felicia were friendly, attentive, and professional too. The rooms and shared areas were clean, and everything seemed well maintained. You can tell the staff care about keeping the place spotless and looking after guests. I had a wonderful stay.

We only needed one night for a volleyball trip, with two teens and an infant, and it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’d read the reviews, but we just needed somewhere to shower and sleep. Two other guests said their rooms were all right, but ours was awful. I wish I could post pictures. There was no one at the desk when we arrived, and we waited 15 to 20 minutes for someone each time, even after calling. Then they took 30 minutes to find us a room. The choices included a dirty room that smelled like cat pee or one with kids running upstairs, apparently because they lived there full time. Our room had white snow marks all over the hard floor, disgusting carpets, and stained bedding, although the bedding did look clean. The blanket was as thin as a sheet. The bathroom was clean, but the fridge and TV dresser had dirty marks, and the stovetop was gross. We couldn’t control the heat and were burning up all night. We got two big towels and couldn’t get more after 8 pm because no one was on shift. At checkout there was no one at the desk again. A woman waiting there for the fire department and police said their smoke detectors didn’t work. They had an infant and had asked for a battery to fix one, but weren’t allowed to do it. That was a safety concern. The hotel also refused to refund us.
