Stay Wise Inn Cedaredge

Joya at the front desk was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, the sort of person you'd picture under “hospitable” in the dictionary. The room had a comfortable bed, microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker. The complimentary full breakfast may be the best-kept secret. Melinda or Christal cooked to order, and we chose omelets with ham, vegetables, and cheese. They cheerfully used butter instead of seed or “vegetable” oil as we requested. The omelets were among the best I've had, and so cheesy. If you're heading over the mountain to Cedaredge, Stay Wise Inn is a wise choice.

Breakfast is included, and the omelets were great, though they were out of cream cheese for the bagels. We ended up renting a second room, which was nice too, but its coffee pot wasn't clean and the shampoo and other bottles were only half full, as if they hadn't been replaced between stays. The hot tub was out of order. We were told at 5 am that the manager wouldn't come rent us a room, so there isn't someone there 24 hours a day. Not bad overall, but a few things could be better.

The staff were kind and friendly, and breakfast was great. I liked being able to order eggs cooked how I wanted. The rooms are a little old, but very clean. The shower tub creaked loudly whenever I moved, which got annoying, and the towels could use an update.

Waking up to the creek behind the hotel was so peaceful. I left the window open to hear it, and seeing deer in the lot next door each morning made the stay feel like a little mountain retreat. The staff at Stay Wise Inn were incredibly welcoming, and the rooms were spotless and cozy. Breakfast was homemade, fresh, and far better than typical hotel food. Can't wait to come back!
