The Cedaredge Lodge

The game room was our favorite, and we also enjoyed the hot tub and watching deer wander around the property. Betty got us settled with the room and game room codes, made sure we had quarters for the games, and checked that we were comfortable. Check-in was easy for our two-night stay, even with remodeling and updates going on. Our room had a little kitchen with everything except a stove, while the shared kitchen had all we needed to cook. We'd come back for sure and hope to see more of the new updates.

The rooms are small, but they're really cozy and cute. Ours had a bathroom, kitchenette with a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave, plus a smart TV. There was a nice view of the trees from the window, and opening it let us hear the little river behind the rooms. Check the switches, too. Our room had wraparound mood lighting that made it extra cozy. We liked having the shared kitchen to ourselves since we were the only guests. It's screened in, so we could feel and hear outside while cooking. The hammock and chair swing behind the rooms look over the river and made for a peaceful spot. The hot tub was clean and relaxing, though it took a while to heat up, which is normal. There were a few other outdoor setups for small sports as well. The arcade was a lot of fun, though I wish the games had been free since we'd already paid to stay. We plugged in the old computer and found a bunch of cheesy 90s computer and bar games that turned out to be fun. The room itself can feel cramped, so it's better if you spend time enjoying the property's amenities. It was a little over my budget, but I'm glad I treated myself. I'd recommend a quiet night when you can have the amenities to yourself, or booking several rooms for a family event.

After running into camping trouble while hunting on the Mesa, I stayed here for a few nights and was happy with that choice. The room was set up really well, there was a full kitchen out back, and the owners were personable. The hot tub was nice to have, too.

When my car broke down, I coasted into Cedaredge Lodge and stayed a couple of days while sorting things out. The help and hospitality were far beyond what I could have asked for. Betty, the owner, is amazing, and everyone I met was helpful. Cedaredge is a nice little town with great people and food.
