Days Inn by Wyndham Cedartown

After nearly 100 miles on the Silver Comet trail, all we wanted was a hot shower, a decent bed, a clean room, and breakfast. Days Inn came through on three of those. The room was clean and the bed was decent. We only got the shower working once we figured out not to turn the dial all the way, since it goes lukewarm again at the end. Breakfast was the worst I've seen at a hotel of this class, just a few bananas, unappealing bread, cereal, and coffee.

The place was clean, and the people were nice and really helpful. I liked the location, though I was expecting the indoor pool shown in the pictures. They do offer breakfast, but it wasn't like the breakfast at the other Days Inn I stayed at, hardly breakfast at all. They also require a $50 deposit, which seemed odd to me since I wasn't stealing anything. I'd give it 7 out of 10.

Room 210 was 95 degrees when I arrived. I switched on the air and left for two hours, and it finally cooled down. Then I noticed the strong mold smell. There was mold on the window, bathroom mirror, and curtains, and dust covered the TV and stand. The bathroom counter was coming apart and almost falling down, with plumbing exposed underneath. The main Google photo shows a swimming pool, but there isn't one. When I reported that the shower only had hot water, the man at the desk said nobody had complained before. It was hot enough to seriously injure someone, especially a child. I learned from this mistake, and won't make it again.

Our event's start line was in an ideal location from the hotel, and the rooms were clean. A large group of us stayed one night before an early race start. The staff arranged breakfast earlier than usual for us, which we really appreciated.
